Basketball Recap: De Soto Comes Up Short

After flying high against Blue Valley Southwest last Saturday, De Soto came back down to earth. The De Soto Wildcats fell to the Seaman Vikings 59-53. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February.

De Soto now has a losing record at 2-3-1. As for Seaman, they pushed their record up to 4-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the De Soto Wildcats duke it out with the Mill Valley Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Seaman, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Lansing at 7:15 p.m. on January 10, 2025.
