Basketball Game Preview: Richmond Hill Wildcats vs. Camden County Wildcats

The Richmond Hill Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Camden County Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Saturday, Richmond Hill opened the new year with a less-than-successful 55-44 loss to Colquitt County. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 258th, while the Packers are ranked 94th).

Meanwhile, Camden County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a 57-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of Valdosta.

Richmond Hill's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Camden County, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 6-9.

Richmond Hill suffered a grim 60-38 defeat to Camden County when the teams last played back in January of 2024. Can Richmond Hill avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
