            The Clements Colts will head out on the road to  take on  the Shoals Christian Flame  at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Clements is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8  runs per game  this season.
Clements had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Falkville on Monday. Clements put the hurt on Falkville with a sharp  15-5 victory. While the Colts didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
 Grayson Borden was  excellent,  scoring a  run while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was  Cannon Lovell, who  scored two  runs while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.
 Clements  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .543. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Falkville only posted  an  OBP of  .370.
Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Shoals Christian's offense. They came up short against  Lexington on Friday, falling  10-0. The  loss   continues a  trend for the Flame in their meetings with the Golden Bears: they've now lost six in a row.
 Shoals Christian saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Rylan Pettus, who  went 1-for-2 with one  stolen base. Pettus is  on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as he's  now  snagged  at least one in each of the last four games he's  played.
 Shoals Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Clements, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.
 Clements took their  victory against Shoals Christian  in their previous matchup  two weeks ago by a conclusive  11-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Clements since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
