Susquehannock took a ten-run  defeat the last time they faced off against Red Land, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Susquehannock Warriors sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  5-3  victory over the Red Land Patriots  on Wednesday. This was payback for the Warriors, who suffered  a  10-0  loss the last time these two teams met.
 Luke Whelan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on three hits. What's more,  he posted four  strikeouts, the most he's  had since back in April of 2024.
 On the hitting side, Susquehannock's win was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was  Nick Bender, who  went 2-for-3 with two  RBI. Another  was  Grayson Copenhaver, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-4.
Susquehannock's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Red Land,  they are  on  an  11-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Susquehannock will welcome Dover  at 4:15  p.m.  on Friday. The  game will  give Susquehannock their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season. As for Red Land, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lower Dauphin  at 4:15  p.m.  on Tuesday.
