Wetumka waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. Everything went their way against the Savanna Bulldogs as they made off with a 10-0 win. The Chieftains might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by six runs or more this season.

Rylie Thomas made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out eight over four innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

In other batting news, Creed Neese and Josh Lee did most of the damage at the plate: Neese went a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run, while Lee went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. Those three hits gave Neese a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Chaydan Flanagan, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Wetumka kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Wetumka's record is now 12-4. As for Savanna, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wetumka will take on Weleetka at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Savanna, they will challenge Haileyville at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
