Soccer Game Preview: Imperial vs. Brawley

For the first time this season, Imperial will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will head out to face off against the Brawley Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Brawley took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Imperial, who comes in off a win.

Imperial's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over Palo Verde Valley. Imperial haven't had any issues with Palo Verde Valley recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Brawley duked it out with Imperial two weeks ago. The Wildcats fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 1-0. The match was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Brawley couldn't quite close it out.

Brawley's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-5-3. As for Imperial, their win bumped their record up to 10-4-1.

Imperial skirted past Brawley 1-0 in their previous meeting two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
