Football Recap: Foothill Falls Short of Chico in the Playoffs + How To Watch

Foothill and Chico squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Foothill had to settle for second. They took a 28-20 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-6 back in October.

John Puffer threw for 72 yards and one touchdown while completing 87.5% of his passes. Carson Anderson was his top target, picking up 81 receiving yards. On the ground, Turner Knowles rushed for 55 yards and one TD.

Josue Bautista was the offensive standout of the contest as he rushed for 70 yards and one score.

The defeat snapped Foothill's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-6 record. As for Chico, they pushed their record up to 11-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home.

Foothill does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Chico, they will face off against Bishop O'Dowd at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
