Soccer Game Preview: Rockwall vs. Longview

For the first time this season, Rockwall will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will head out on the road to face off against the Longview Lobos at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Rockwall is headed into the match having not lost since the 2nd and will look to keep things rolling. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over Horn last Tuesday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Rockwall's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 71st, while Horn are ranked 496th).

Meanwhile, Poteet kept up with Longview until halftime on Thursday, but afterwards: not so much. The Lobos blew past the Pirates 4-1. Considering Longview have won three contests by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Longview's record now sits at 5-2-2. As for Rockwall, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-1-2 record this season.
