Monroe is 8-1 against Everett since March of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Bearcats will challenge the Seagulls at 7:00 p.m. Monroe is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.

Monroe is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Arlington just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 8-7.

AJ Welch was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching four innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Those three hits allowed gave him a new career-low. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, Monroe got a big performance out of Caleb Campbell, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Alex Harvie also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Meanwhile, Everett fell victim to Stanwood and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 4-0 to the Spartans, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Seagulls haven't had much luck with the Spartans recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Monroe's record is now 9-5. As for Everett, their record now sits at 4-11.

Monroe beat Everett 4-0 when the teams last played back in April of 2025. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bearcats since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
