Volleyball Recap: Paulding County Comes Up Short

Paulding County lost against Cedartown last Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Patriots took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Paulding County ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-17.

Their offense was headlined by Riley Maguire and Alaysia Davis, who picked up three kills apiece. They got some help from Isabella Perry and her seven assists. Shyla Jones controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Paulding County's defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Cedartown, their win bumped their record up to 5-14.

Coincidentally, Paulding County and Cedartown will both be playing Woodland the next time they take the court. The Bulldogs will head out to face the Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Patriots will play them later in the day, at 7:30 p.m.
