Volleyball Game Preview: Crimson Cliffs Mustangs vs. Pine View Panthers

The Crimson Cliffs Mustangs will challenge the Pine View Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a four-game winning streak alive.

On Tuesday, Crimson Cliffs got the win against Hurricane by a conclusive 3-0.

Crimson Cliffs walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-11, 25-17, 25-21.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Pine View took on Hurricane on Thursday. The Panthers blew past the Tigers 3-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-11, 25-15.

Crimson Cliffs better keep an eye on Cole Jones. He was instrumental in Pine View's win, getting ten digs and three aces. Those three aces gave Jones a new career-high.

Pine View was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Crimson Cliffs' record is now 11-3. As for Pine View, their record now sits at 15-6.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's contest: Crimson Cliffs has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 5.6 aces per game. However, it's not like Pine View struggles in that department as they've been averaging 5.2 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.

Crimson Cliffs skirted past Pine View 3-2 in their previous matchup back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
