Basketball Recap: Seton Catholic Sentinels vs. Coolidge Bears

After flying high against Globe last Tuesday, Seton Catholic came back down to earth. The Seton Catholic Sentinels took a 60-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Coolidge Bears. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Sentinels this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 47-43 two weeks ago.

Kj Fauske and Ryan Morris certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Fauske went 6 for 14 on his way to 20 points, while Morris went 5 of 9 to rack up 15 points and six assists. Morris is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Dylan Alvidrez, who posted 11 points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Coolidge to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jensen Carter, who went 10 for 13 en route to 25 points. Thanks to that strong game, Carter now owns an excellent 48% field goal percentage. The team also got some help courtesy of Adarius Miguel, who earned 12 points and five assists.

Seton Catholic has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-14 record this season. Their recent woes sure aren't a result of their performance when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy: their three-point shooting accuracy was 38% in those games and 29.7% outside of them.
