Recap: Coudersport Falcons vs. Smethport Hubbers
The Coudersport Falcons had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They took down Smethport 50-35 on Wednesday. For Coudersport, this counts as revenge for the 54-38 defeat Smethport walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January.
Smethport's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Colin Okerlund, who scored 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Dunn , who scored 10 points.
Coudersport's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Smethport, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Coudersport will square off against Elk County Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Smethport, they will head out on the road to face off against Sheffield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
