Football Recap: Tanner Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Tanner lost against Sweet Water back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Rattlers were outmatched by the Bulldogs and fell 46-7. The Rattlers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Michael Dempsey threw for 52 yards on nine of 15 attempts. On the ground, Torr'e Pride rushed for 73 yards and one TD.

It was another big night for Deion Blanks, who rushed for 174 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries for Sweet Water. Blanks is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 118 every time he's taken the field this season. Zyreonne Hamilton was another key back, rushing for 89 yards and a pair of scores on only six carries.

Tanner's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Sweet Water, they pushed their record up to 6-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, Tanner will face off against Pisgah at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rattlers will need to watch out since the Eagles have now posted at least 31 points in their last six matchups. Sweet Water does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
