Midland Christian had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.7 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 54-12 victory over the River Road Wildcats. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 175th, while the Wildcats are ranked 1355th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Midland Christian's win bumped their record up to 14-3. As for River Road, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Coming up, Midland Christian will take on Estacado in a tournament on Friday. The Mustangs will need to watch out since the Matadors have now posted at least 55 points in their last seven matchups. As for River Road, they will be home for the holidays to greet Pampa at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
