Palmyra had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They managed a 48-43 victory over the Highland Cougars. For the Panthers, this counts as revenge for the 47-38 win the Cougars walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February.

Palmyra's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Highland, their loss ended a nine-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 7-1.

Palmyra has already played their next contest, a 58-57 defeat against South Shelby on the 14th. As for Highland, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Highland Cougars duke it out with the Scotland County Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
