South Granville never got on the board in their matchup last Friday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Vance County on Friday. They blew past the Vipers 33-6. For the Vikings, this counts as revenge for the 12-7 victory the Vipers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

South Granville's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kaiden Curtis led the charge by picking up 90 receiving yards and one touchdown, while also rushing for 54 yards and one score on only six carries. Those 90 receiving yards gave Curtis a new career-high. Another back making a difference was Jaylen Wilkerson, who rushed for 79 yards and one TD.

The win got South Granville back to even at 1-1. As for Vance County, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

South Granville wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 26-14 defeat against Franklinton on the 5th.
