Basketball Recap: Mcgill-Toolen Finds Playoff Glory Versus Saraland

It's playoff time, and McGill-Toolen had no trouble coming through when it counted. They strolled past the Saraland Spartans with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 42-28. The Yellowjackets haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Several Spartans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sadie Knight, who posted nine points. Another player making a difference was Aniya Southall, who put up seven points and three steals.

McGill-Toolen pushed their record up to 21-6 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.3 points over those games. As for Saraland, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 20-9.
