Basketball Recap: Stephenville Takes a Loss

Stephenville won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They lost 58-36 to the Medina Valley Panthers. The match marked the Yellow Jackets/Honeybees' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Stephenville's loss dropped their record down to 14-3. As for Medina Valley, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-6.

Stephenville won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Lockhart at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Lockhart has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Medina Valley, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll take on Wimberley at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Wimberley knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Medina Valley likes a good challenge.
