Layton hadn't done well against Lone Peak recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Layton Lancers took down the Lone Peak Knights 72-57. The Lancers' win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Layton's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Sam Romer, who posted 25 points in addition to five boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase Randall, who put up 21 points.

Layton pushed their record up to 5-0 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Lone Peak, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.

Layton will take on American Fork in a tournament on Friday. Layton is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 79.8 points per game this season. As for Lone Peak, they will challenge American Heritage at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
