Basketball Recap: DSST: Conservatory Green Takes a Loss

DSST: Conservatory Green was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 55-22 loss at the hands of the Denver West Cowboys. The Hornets were down 40-20 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Denver West's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Alesha Munoz led the charge by going 8 of 17 en route to 20 points along with seven assists and four steals. The dominant performance gave Munoz a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Shukri Hussein, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds.

DSST: Conservatory Green's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Denver West, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. DSST: Conservatory Green and DSST: Cedar will face off at 5:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. DSST: Cedar will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something DSST: Conservatory Green surely won't give up without a fight.
