Baseball Recap: Lehi's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

With a playoff win on the line, Lehi rose to the challenge on Thursday. They skirted past the Davis Darts 7-5. Seven seems to be a good number for the Pioneers as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Lehi got a great performance from Hazen Elton as he struck out nine batters over 6.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Those nine strikeouts gave Elton a new career-high.

At the plate, Cooper Williams was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

The victory (which was Lehi's third in a row) raised their record to 19-14. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Davis, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 23-8.

As of now, neither Lehi nor the Darts have any future games scheduled.
