Baseball Preview: Enterprise/Joseph Savages vs. McLoughlin Pioneers
The Enterprise/Joseph Savages are on the road again on Friday to play the McLoughlin Pioneers at 1:00 p.m.
Back in March, Enterprise/Joseph fell victim to a rough 11-1 defeat at the hands of Crook County.
Meanwhile, McLoughlin waltzed into their matchup on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victor by an 18-7 margin over the Tiger Scots. McLoughlin might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won five contests by six runs or more this season.
Adrian Camarena made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (he also only allowed one walk). Camarena was even better at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Cooper Yensen, who went 3-for-4 with five stolen bases, four runs, and five RBI. Javier Esparza was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.
Enterprise/Joseph's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for McLoughlin, the win got them back to even at 7-7.
