Volleyball Recap: Raton's Winning Streak Snapped at 13 Games

Raton and Tatum squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Raton had to settle for second. They lost 3-0 to the Coyotes. Considering the last time the Tigers couldn't score was back in September, the team can't take the result too hard.

Despite the defeat, Raton saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Aveah Marquez had 17 digs and one assist. Marquez is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last 16 games she's played.

The loss snapped Raton's winning streak at 13 matches and leaves them with a 20-4 record. As for Tatum, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season.
