Baseball Recap: Grant Pacers vs. McClatchy Lions

Grant had lost three straight at home, but on Friday they dropped down to 1-13 to make it four. They lost 13-0 to the McClatchy Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-1 on Wednesday.

As for McClatchy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.2 runs over those games.

For McClatchy's part, Colt Logsdon and Dominic Brazelton made a splash no matter where they played. On the mound, Logsdon tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Brazelton tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances. At bat, Logsdon got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs, while Brazelton went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple and one run.
