Baseball Game Preview: Nazarene Christian Academy Lions vs. First Baptist Saints

Nazarene Christian Academy is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out Christian Heritage 8-6.

Aidan Adams was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Will Smithers, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Nazarene Christian Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, First Baptist's good fortune finally ran out last Thursday. They fell just short of Episcopal School of Dallas by a score of 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Saints have suffered since March 1st.

First Baptist's loss dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Nazarene Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 16-4.
