Baseball Game Preview: Happy Valley Warriors vs. North Greene Huskies

The Happy Valley Warriors will head out on the road to challenge the North Greene Huskies at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Happy Valley managed to slip by Johnson County the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Warriors came up short against the Longhorns on Monday, falling 13-3. The Warriors' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Happy Valley saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carlos Lopez, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI. That double marked the first that Lopez has hit this season.

Meanwhile, North Greene was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 11-1 to Chuckey-Doak.

North Greene's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Happy Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 10-8-1.

Happy Valley took their victory against North Greene when the teams last played on Tuesday by a conclusive 20-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
