Baseball Recap: North Sevier Gets the Win

While North Sevier's win against Grand County wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Wolves skirted past the Red Devils 9-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Wolves have posted since March 6th.

North Sevier's win was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Parker Jensen, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Jensen is becoming a predictor of the Wolves' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 3-5 when he doesn't). Another was Zander Christiansen, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

North Sevier always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .590. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive contests.

North Sevier picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 9-5. As for Grand County, their loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-14.
