Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hamtramck). They were the clear victors by an 18-8 margin over Trillium Academy on Wednesday. The win continues a trend for the Cosmos in their matchups with Trillium Academy: they've now won three in a row.

The team relied heavily on Sam Gobah, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. He has become a key player for Hamtramck: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 3-7 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Darnell Williams, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.

Hamtramck was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .531. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in three consecutive contests.

Hamtramck's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-7. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Trillium Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-8.
