Basketball Recap: Midfield Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Midfield can now relate to. They took a 71-67 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lee-Scott Academy Warriors.

Leading Lee-Scott Academy to victory were Haiden Harper and Barrett Cook. Harper went 9-for-15 on his way to 29 points and five boards, while Cook went 6-for-10 en route to 17 points. Harper's afternoon made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Grayson Haley, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and ten rebounds.

Midfield's loss dropped their record down to 23-7. As for Lee-Scott Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 26-4 record this season.

Midfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lee-Scott Academy, they will challenge Montgomery Academy on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Montgomery Academy sitting on 15 straight wins and Lee-Scott Academy on seven.
