League recap: California tops Hallsville to extend winning streak

Adding to the longest winning streak in Tri-County this week, California beat Hallsville 57-8,. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.

Osage was the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from sixth to fourth in the league. The Indians beat Versailles 57-0 earlier in the week.

Osage's dynamic duo of AUSTIN RILEY and DYLAN JEFFRIES proved to be unstoppable against the Tigers, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. RILEY threw for 268 yards and 4 touchdowns and JEFFRIES had 109 yards receiving. JUSTIN HEISER helped Osage's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 66 yards.

Dan Henderson's team's dynamic duo of RILEY and JEFFRIES proved tough for Versailles to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.

RILEY put up the best numbers through the air as the Indians beat Glen Lemmon's team.

JEFFRIES was the best receiver in the league this week as Osage beat the Tigers.

David Holland was the most successful running back in Tri-County this week. He ran for 58 yards on 20 carries as Southern Boone topped Versailles. Teammate Grant Anderson added to the ground attack by rushing for 27 yards.

Osage's RILEY and JEFFRIES have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. RILEY has thrown for 903 yards this season, while JEFFRIES, a 6-foot-2 receiver, has 26 catches for 344 yards. Holland from the Eagles leads the league in rushing with 439 yards.

As it stands, the Indians are in fourth, while Blair Oaks is in third.

Eldon moved up to 126 from 158 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Mustangs climbed the ranks as a result of defeating Warsaw 62-19.
