Softball Recap: Sebastopol Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

While Sebastopol's win against Clarkdale wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Sebastopol sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 victory over Clarkdale on Tuesday. The Bobcats haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Sebastopol let Hanna Boleware and Jaylee Coleman run wild. Boleware went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI, while Coleman went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Marlee Smith, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Sebastopol lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in February.

Sebastopol pushed their record up to 16-1 with the victory, which was their 20th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Clarkdale, they now have a losing record of 8-9.

Looking ahead, Sebastopol will challenge Lake at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Clarkdale, they will square off against Scott Central at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
