Preview: Carolina Forest Panthers vs. St. James Sharks
After four games on the road, Carolina Forest is heading back home. They will take on the St. James Sharks at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Carolina Forest will be strutting in after a win while St. James will be coming in after a loss.
Carolina Forest put the finishing touches on their ninth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They claimed a resounding 59-12 victory over Socastee on the road. The victory was just what Carolina Forest needed coming off of a 62-32 defeat in their prior match.
Madison Hoffman was her usual excellent self, scoring 11 points along with nine steals and seven rebounds. Miracle McLean was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with three steals.
St. James suffered their biggest defeat since December 21, 2023 on Friday. They were beaten by Sumter 51-9. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points St. James has scored all season.
Carolina Forest is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. As for St. James, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-8.
Carolina Forest didn't have too much breathing room in their game against St. James in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, but they still walked away with a 27-23 victory. Will Carolina Forest repeat their success, or does St. James have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
