Recap: Big Bend Roadrunners vs. Dell City Cougars
This season hasn't been kind to the Big Bend Roadrunners, who are still winless after their fifth game. They suffered a rough 64-44 loss at the hands of Dell City on Tuesday. Big Bend was down 52-30 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Reyes Espinoza was his usual excellent self, scoring 20 points along with eight assists and eight steals for Dell City. It was the first time this season that Espinoza posted eight or more assists. Isaac Estrada was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with five assists and three steals.
Big Bend's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Dell City, their victory bumped their record up to 6-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Big Bend has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Indians at 12:30 p.m. on February 3rd. Fort Davis is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Dell City, they will be playing at home against the Vaqueros at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
