Volleyball Game Preview: Ipswich Tigers vs. Gettysburg Battlers

The Ipswich Tigers will take on the Gettysburg Battlers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Ipswich took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed last Monday. They came out on top against Herreid/Selby by a score of 3-1. The victory continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Wolverines: they've now won three in a row.

The win didn't come easy: Herreid/Selby scored at least 18 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 20-25, 25-20, 25-22.

Meanwhile, two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Gettysburg walked away with it. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Thunderhawks on Monday.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Gettysburg took every set by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-3, 25-0, 25-15.

Gettysburg's victory bumped their record up to 9-22. As for Ipswich, their win bumped their record up to 22-6.
