Baseball Game Preview: Sherman Tide vs. Wahama White Falcons

Sherman hasn't had much luck against Wahama recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Tide will take on the White Falcons at 6:00 p.m. Sherman will be strutting in after a win while Wahama will be coming in after a loss.

Sherman had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt Van on Monday. The Tide's pitchers stepped up to hand the Bulldogs a 6-0 shutout. The victory continues a trend for the Tide in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won eight in a row.

Luke Tagliente was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Oliver Harless, who went 1-for-2 with two runs.

Meanwhile, Wahama didn't have quite enough to beat Ritchie County on Wednesday and fell 6-4.

Wahama's defeat dropped their record down to 12-14. As for Sherman, the win got them back to even at 11-11.

Sherman couldn't quite get it done against Wahama in their previous meeting back in April as they fell 4-1. Can the Tide avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
