Hartford Central is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against North Warren Central on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Hartford Central was outmatched by North Warren Central and fell 77-31. The Tanagers have struggled against the Cougars recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, it may have taken double overtime to finish the job, but Schroon Lake ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 64-61 win over Seton Catholic Central. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Wildcats have posted since February 11, 2024.

Hartford Central's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-5. As for Schroon Lake, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.

Hartford Central came out on top in a nail-biter against Schroon Lake when the teams last played two weeks ago, sneaking past 52-50.
