Softball Recap: West Lowndes' Win Ends Five-Game Losing Streak at Home

West Lowndes's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Aberdeen Bulldogs 13-12. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Panthers' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Madison Jackson was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lauren Williams, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

West Lowndes was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .533. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

West Lowndes' win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-9. As for Aberdeen, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-20.

Coming up, West Lowndes will challenge Kemper County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 19.73 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Aberdeen, they are taking a road trip to face off against Columbus at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
