Basketball Recap: Riverside Extends Winning Streak to Three

Riverside hadn't done well against Briar Woods recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Riverside Ram snuck past the Briar Woods Falcons with a 43-38 victory. The win was familiar territory for the Ram who have now won three matches in a row.

Several Falcons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Nina Keltz, who posted nine points and three steals. Keltz is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Brianna Zaher, who scored ten points and five rebounds.

Riverside's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-8. As for Briar Woods, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-8 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Riverside will challenge Potomac Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Briar Woods, they will square off against Stone Bridge at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
