Frewsburg has gone 8-2 against Pine Valley Central recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. Frewsburg got a great performance from Aidan Gruber as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 11 over six innings pitched. Gruber has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Chase Haglund, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. He has become a key player for Frewsburg: the team is 13-0-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 1-5 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Maddox Sheesley, who earned two RBI, one run, and one stolen base.
Brocton hit Pine Valley Central with a four-run seventh inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Panthers lost 9-1 to the Bulldogs.
Pine Valley Central saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Camryn Slade, who went 1-for-4 with three stolen bases and one run.
Frewsburg's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-5-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Pine Valley Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-15.
Pine Valley Central's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Frewsburg hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .355. It's a different story for Pine Valley Central, though, as they've only averaged .182. Will they be able to contain Frewsburg's hitters?
