Basketball Game Preview: Trinity Christian Academy Eagles vs. Matanzas Pirates

Having just played yesterday, the Trinity Christian Academy Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Matanzas Pirates at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Trinity Christian Academy has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since November 21.

On Monday, Trinity Christian Academy had to suffer through a 66-16 loss at the hands of Calvary Christian Academy. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 624th, while the Lions are ranked 236th).

Meanwhile, after soaring to 57 points the game before, Matanzas was a bit more limited in their game back in December of 2024. They were outmatched by Menendez and fell 57-19. The defeat continues a trend for the Pirates in their matchups with the Falcons: they've now lost eight in a row.

Matanzas' loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Trinity Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8.

Trinity Christian Academy was taken down by Matanzas 50-6 in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Trinity Christian Academy was down 41-3.
