Volleyball Recap: Lake George's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak on the Road + How To Watch

Lake George's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. Everything went their way against the Granville Golden Horde as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 on October 1st.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Lake George was: they took every set by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-14, 25-15.

Lake George found their leader in freshman Lina Caldaroni, who had six aces and five digs. Those six aces set a new season-high mark for Caldaroni. Maddie Bardin also deserves some recognition as she had her first dig of the season.

Lake George was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. That's the most aces they've posted in their last seven matches.

Despite the defeat, Granville saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Shanell Williams had six kills and three blocks. Williams is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now had two or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Lake George's victory ended a four-match drought on the road and puts them at 8-12. As for Granville, their loss dropped their record down to 0-15.

As of now, neither Lake George nor the Golden Horde have any future games scheduled.
