Frederick hasn't had much luck against Erie recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Golden Eagles will host the Tigers at 4:00 p.m. Frederick is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.

Frederick is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 22 runs on Saturday, they were much more limited against Fairview on Tuesday. They fell 5-1 to the Knights.

Frederick saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dom LeFevre, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles.

Meanwhile, Erie suffered their biggest loss since April 2, 2024 on Tuesday. They lost 10-4 to Holy Family.

Erie also got a good showing from Easton Agnew, who tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, Ronin Ward made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

Frederick now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Erie, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-5.

Frederick came up short against Erie in their previous meeting back in May of 2019, falling 4-1. Can the Golden Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
