Soccer Game Preview: Palisade vs. Evergreen

The Palisade Bulldogs will venture away from home to square off against the Evergreen Cougars at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Palisade came up short against Dakota Ridge on Saturday, falling 6-1. While losing is never fun, Palisade can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado soccer rankings (they are ranked 97th, while Dakota Ridge are ranked 30th).

Palisade's goal came courtesy of Keylei Dobransky, who's now up to three this season.

Meanwhile, Evergreen waltzed into their matchup on Friday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. Everything went their way against the Kadets as they made off with a 3-0 victory. Give Evergreen's defense some credit: that's the team's fifth straight shutout.

Evergreen's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-1-2. The road victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those five games. As for Palisade, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6-3.
