Volleyball Recap: Center Point Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Center Point was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Junction Eagles. The Pirates were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Junction scored at least 19 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-23, 22-25, 25-19.

Cobee Beckerson paced Center Point's offense, picking up 14 kills. Beckerson got some help from Kaylani Ritter and her 17 assists. Beckerson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Center Point's defeat dropped their record down to 17-8. As for Junction, their victory bumped their record up to 9-17.

Coming up, Center Point will be playing at home against Johnson City at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Pirates surely won't give up without a fight. As for Junction, they will venture away from home to challenge Sonora at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
