Basketball Recap: Hernando Takes a Loss

Hernando suffered their biggest defeat since November 20th on Friday. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Magnolia Heights Chiefs an easy 67-43 victory. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Tigers' biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.

This is the second loss in a row for Hernando and nudges their season record down to 8-6. As for Magnolia Heights, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

Hernando and Magnolia Heights will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Tigers see the court they'll take on Dyersburg at 2:30 p.m. on the 30th. As for Magnolia Heights, their break will end when they face Bayou Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 6, 2026.
