Softball Recap: Jefferson's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Thursday

Thursday just wasn't the day for Jefferson's offense. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (10-0), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, their shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

With the defeat, Jefferson broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Hallsville, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-2-1 record this season.

Jefferson has already played their next matchup, a 7-1 loss against Longview on the 27th. As for Hallsville, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 7-1 victory against New Diana on the 27th.
