Volleyball Game Preview: Wynford Royals vs. Bucyrus Redmen

Wynford is 9-1 against Bucyrus since September of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Royals will venture away from home to take on the Redmen at 6:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Wynford lost 3-0 to Carey on Tuesday. The Royals have struggled against the Blue Devils recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-20, 25-13.

Wynford's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Kate McGuire, who had 14 digs, and Madisyn Watkins, who had 14 assists and six digs. Watkins is crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 12 every time she's taken the court this season.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Bucyrus and Colonel Crawford had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Redmen fell 3-1 to the Eagles on Tuesday. Redmen fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Eagles since Tuesday.

Bucyrus started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-20, 26-24, 25-14.

Bucyrus' loss dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Wynford, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-15.
