Football Recap: Make It Seven in a Row for Carrollton + How To Watch

Carrollton put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 48-9 victory over the Westlake Lions. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Trojans had established a 32-point advantage.

Carrollton got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Cameron Wood out in front who rushed for 120 yards and three TDs on only 14 carries, and also picked up 72 receiving yards. Wood has been hot recently, having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last three times he's played. CJ Cypher was another key signal caller, throwing for 218 yards and three touchdowns while completing 84.2% of his passes.

Carrollton's run defense was locked in: Westlake could only muster 3.1 yards per carry. That's the most yards per carry they've posted since back in December of 2024.

Carrollton's record is now 7-0. As for Westlake, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-4.

Carrollton wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 56-7 victory against Chapel Hill on the 10th. As for Westlake, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 45-20 loss against Douglas County on the 10th.
