Baseball Game Preview: Baldwin Indians vs. Valdosta Wildcats

The Baldwin Indians will venture away from home to take on the Valdosta Wildcats at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The last three games Baldwin has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Baldwin's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They skirted past Thomas County Central 1-0. The one-run effort marked the Indians' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Baldwin got a great performance from Cooper Farah as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over six innings pitched. What's more, Farah gave up only zero earned runs, the fewest he's had since back in March of 2024.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 17 runs the game before, Valdosta was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of St. Johns Country Day.

Baldwin now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Valdosta, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.

Baldwin was able to grind out a solid win over Valdosta in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, winning 6-1. Does Baldwin have another victory up their sleeve, or will Valdosta turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
